A tiny piece of rural Washington state—and some of its “inhabitants”— blasted off into space from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

NASA flight surgeon Dr. Josef Schmid, Fernando De La Pena Llaca and their teams were the first humans “holoported” from Earth into space.
